PAPER TOWEL

Not Recycled

Why is it not recyclable?

Paper towel is an absorbent, disposable towel made from paper that is used for cleaning, wiping up liquids and greases around the house.

Used paper towels, toilet paper and tissues are not recyclable because:

  • They usually used to wipe food wastes, greases or bodily fluids and they are unable to be cleaned during the recycling process.

  • They cannot be mixed with other clean recyclable items.

What now?

  • Throw it in the bin, if what you wiped with it can also be safely discarded in the bin.
